How Payouts Work

PEXX payouts move funds from your pre-funded balance to a beneficiary's bank account in their local currency.

This page explains where your money sits at each stage and what each status means — useful for anyone on your team who needs to understand the lifecycle, whether or not they touch the API.

Flow of funds

Every payout follows the same path: stablecoin leaves your PEXX balance, gets converted to fiat, travels over a local payment rail, and either lands in the beneficiary's account or comes back. The diagram below maps each stage to the status you'll see in the API and dashboard.

Pre-funding your balance

Before any payout can be created, your PEXX balance must hold enough USDT/USDC/USD to cover the payout amount inclusive of fees.
